Prayer of Welcome, Just As You Are

If you have come to this place with a heart full of joy, if gratitude flows from you like a rush of water, then you are in the right place!  Jesus is waiting for you here.

If you have come here with a heavy spirit and a weary body, if inside you feel emptied of all the energy that once drove you to do good—If your waters feel stagnant and still, then you are in the right place!  Jesus is waiting for you here.

If you have come here drawn by the winds of change—if they whistle in your ears and fill your heart with restlessness—If you feel the very ground shifting beneath your feet—then you have come to the right place.  Jesus is waiting for you here.
On the Banks of Puget Sound, Edmonds

If you have come here with bitterness and anger hidden deep in the caves of your soul—if you have been hurt, wounded, bewildered by a world that you thought was gentle—If you have said to yourself, “There is no God—”  Then you are in the right place.  Jesus is waiting for you here.

Jesus says, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  Jesus says, you are welcome at this table.

Jesus said, If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

You are welcome to this place!
